Event Horizon Paranormal (“the App”) is an investigation toolkit designed for paranormal investigation and related activities.
This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information and device permissions.
Event Horizon Paranormal does not require users to create an account and does not operate a developer-controlled cloud database for storing user investigation data.
The App may access information and device features that are necessary for its functionality, including:
Investigation data created within the App is stored locally on the user’s device unless the user chooses to share or transfer that information using features provided by their device or other applications.
The Spirit Box features may connect to internet radio streams provided by third-party radio services.
When using these features, the App connects to external radio servers to receive audio streams. Those services may process technical information such as an IP address as part of providing the requested internet connection or audio stream.
Event Horizon Paranormal does not control the privacy practices of third-party radio services. Users should review the privacy policies of those services where appropriate.
The App may request the following permissions:
Camera: Used for camera-based investigation and SLS features.
Microphone: Used to record EVP and other investigation audio.
Sensors: Used by investigation features that require device sensor information.
Internet access: Used to access internet radio streams and other online functionality required by the App.
Users can manage or revoke permissions through their Android device settings. Some App features may not function correctly if the required permission is denied.
The App may store investigation information locally on the user’s device, including photographs, audio recordings, investigation sessions, evidence and related investigation information.
This information is not uploaded to a developer-controlled cloud service by Event Horizon Paranormal.
Users are responsible for protecting information stored on their device.
Event Horizon Paranormal does not sell, rent or trade users’ personal information.
The App does not intentionally transmit users’ investigation records, photographs, recordings or notes to a developer-controlled server.
If a user chooses to share information using Android or another application, that information may be processed by the selected third-party service according to its own privacy policy.
Event Horizon Paranormal is not specifically directed toward children.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-controlled online service.
Because investigation information is primarily stored locally on the user’s device, users should use appropriate device security measures such as a screen lock and keep their Android device updated.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the App, its features or applicable requirements.
Any updated version will be published at the same privacy-policy location with a revised “Last updated” date.
